Observer Information

The tournament will feature a unique pro/observer format which means each competing angler will have an observer with them in the boat for each day of competition. The observer will not be allowed to fish or assist the angler in any way. This will result in the purest form of head to head competition in bass fishing today, while allowing the observer a chance to be a part of this great event, as well as the opportunity to learn first hand from the best bass fisherman in the state of Minnesota.

Why be an observer?

- a great opportunity to learn from some of the best bass anglers in Minnesota

- help support the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame

- a half day of fishing with one of the pro anglers

- 2 free tickets to the Welcome Dinner honoring the members of the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame

What does it take to be an observer?

- must be at least 16 years of age

- $100 donation (tax deductible) to the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame

- must attend registration and rules meeting on Wednesday evening (6:00 PM)

- must be willing and able to participate on both Friday and Saturday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

How will observers be selected and how many will be selected?

- on a first come, first serve basis

- will be matched with a different pro angler each day on a random basis

- the number of observers selected will be determined based on the number of pro anglers participating in the event

What are the rules for being an observer?

- must not assist the pro anglers in any way

- must not share the pro angler’s fishing information or locations with anyone

- must be wearing a Coast Guard approved life jacket any time the main combustion motor is running

- NO GPS DEVICES ALLOWED!
